What is the Info-Kayak Semois module?

The “Info-Kayak” module clearly indicates whether kayaking on the Semois is allowed. It is visible in the top right corner of every page on our website. Updated daily at 9 AM, it provides you with real-time information on river accessibility, official kayaking hours, and the current status (allowed, risk of closure, or prohibited).

How does the module work?

Every morning at 9 AM, we receive official data from the Walloon Region regarding the river flow of the Semois. Based on this information, our module displays one of the following statuses:

What to do if kayaking is prohibited?

If kayaking is prohibited, the only thing to do is wait until conditions return to normal. We advise checking our website daily from 9 AM for updates. You can also follow us on social media to receive regular status updates.

If you have a reservation, we will personally notify you by SMS and email as soon as possible to avoid unnecessary travel.

Unfortunately, we cannot precisely predict when conditions will improve, as this depends entirely on weather conditions (sufficient rainfall during dry periods or reduced water levels following heavy rainfall).
