The 17 km kayak trip from Alle-sur-Semois to Bohan is ideal if you’re looking for a full day of adventure, sport, and relaxation in the heart of the Belgian Ardenne. This longer route is perfect for nature enthusiasts, friends, and families alike.
Paddling along the Semois, you’ll pass through the protected nature reserve of Membre-Bohan, renowned for its remarkable biodiversity. This pristine area provides a sanctuary for numerous animal and plant species native to the region. Enjoy a unique kayaking experience, exploring dense forests, winding rivers, and untouched landscapes far from daily life.
Timetable and organisation
Departures take place directly from the Kayaks La Vanne base between 9:30 am and 12:30 pm during the summer season (see detailed schedules below). Once you arrive in Bohan, simply call us, and we’ll come pick you up with our shuttle bus to return you comfortably to Alle-sur-Semois.
Flexible options to suit your needs
If you wish to shorten your trip and finish before reaching Bohan, that’s completely possible! In this case, we recommend paying in cash upon arrival. That way, if you choose to end your route earlier (after 7 or 11 km), we can easily refund you the difference on the spot. Please note this refund option isn’t available for card payments.

Information about the Alle – Bohan kayak descent
To take part in the Alle – Bohan kayaking route, please first come to Kayaks La Vanne, located at:
Rue Léon Henrard, 10 – 5550 Alle-sur-Semois (Belgique).
From our base, you’ll start your kayak descent directly toward Bohan, paddling through stunning natural landscapes along the entire 17 km route. This immersive adventure allows you to travel at your own pace, surrounded by the tranquility and beauty of the preserved Belgian Ardenne.
Upon arrival in Bohan, simply give us a call, and our shuttle bus will pick you up and bring you comfortably back to our Alle-sur-Semois base. This shuttle service is included in your reservation, ensuring a stress-free return.
